Major replacement components can represent a significant cost when maintaining refrigerated transport equipment.
Myriad offers both remanufactured parts and a Service Exchange programme to provide customers with cost-effective alternatives while helping keep essential components available and fleets moving.
Although the two often work together, remanufactured and Service Exchange do not mean the same thing.
A remanufactured part is a previously used component that has been professionally rebuilt, with worn or unsuitable components replaced as required, before being inspected and tested for its intended application.
Remanufacturing can provide a practical, cost-effective alternative to purchasing a brand-new replacement component.
Myriad supplies remanufactured products across a range of major transport refrigeration components, including:

Service Exchange, often shown as S/EX, is a supply arrangement where Myriad provides you with a replacement component and your old unit, commonly referred to as the core, is returned to us.
Many remanufactured products are supplied on a Service Exchange basis, but Service Exchange products are not necessarily remanufactured.
In some cases, Myriad also supplies brand-new products on a Service Exchange basis. This allows us to recover suitable cores and maintain a reliable supply of components for future remanufacturing and exchange requirements.
The individual product page will identify whether the item you are purchasing is new, remanufactured, Service Exchange, or a combination of these.
When you purchase a product supplied on a Service Exchange basis:
1. We supply your replacement part.
2. You install the replacement and retain the old unit.
3. The old core is returned to Myriad.
Unless otherwise agreed, the cost of returning the core is the customer's responsibility.
If you do not have suitable shipping arrangements, Myriad can arrange collection using our courier for an agreed charge. This can be organised with our team at the point of sale.
Please package all returned components securely to protect them during transport.
For heavier items such as compressors, generators and engines, the pallet used to deliver the replacement component can normally be reused for the return. Metal components should be suitably covered with cardboard, shrink wrap or other appropriate packaging before collection.
For engines and compressors, please ensure that all liquids have been completely drained before shipment.
When returning a compressor, the suction and discharge blanking plates supplied with the replacement compressor should be fitted to the old unit before it is returned.
All Myriad remanufactured products are covered by a 6-month warranty from the date of sale.
The applicable warranty details will also be stated on the relevant product page or confirmed by the Myriad team at the point of sale.
